Who are we?
We are Schooner Toastmasters, Halifax, in operation since 1979. Our members range from beginner speakers to seasoned Toastmaster veterans.
We are a diverse group: retired professionals, small business owners, government employees, entrepreneurs, students, even immigrants who speak English as a second language. Some of us have dreams of being professional speakers; others just want to be able to speak in public with more confidence. Some come for fun and to spend time with friends who have similar interests.
This mix results in varied and interesting speech topics and makes Schooner Toastmasters a friendly and supportive environment for you to improve your communication and presentation skills.
Visitors are always welcomed (and never pressured into speaking). If you would like to visit us, please fill out the form to the right and someone will contact you.
