Leadership Track
The following is the new toastmasters Leadership Track which came into effect in 2005
New Competent Leader (CL)
- The new 10-project Competent Leadership manual will help you develop leadership skills while serving in various club meeting roles, e.g. Evaluator, General Evaluator, Toastmaster, Table Topic Master. Toastmasters International will begin issuing the new CL award in July 2006.
- New CL Award Requirements:
- Complete the new Competent Leadership manual
- The new 10-Project CL Goals and Objectives
- Tips and Lessons Learned
Advanced Leader (AL)
AL Requirements:
- Achieve the “old” Competent Leader award;
- Served a complete term as a district officer (District Governor, Lieutenant Governor (LGET or LGM), Public Relations Officer (PRO), District Secretary or Treasurer, Division or Area Governor);
- Completed the High Performance Leadership program; and
- Served successfully as a club sponsor, mentor or coach.
- On July 1, 2006, the requirements for the AL award recognition become the requirements for the new Advanced Leader Silver (ALS).
- AL Tips and Lessons Learned
ADVANCED LEADER BRONZE (ALB)
ALB Award Requirements:
- Achieved Competent Leader (CL) award;
- Achieved Competent Communicator (CC) award (or achieved Competent Toastmaster CTM award);
- Served at least six months as a club officer (president, vice president education, vice president membership, vice president public relations, secretary, treasurer or sergeant at arms) and participated in the preparation of a Club Success Plan while serving in this office
- While serving in the above office, participated in a district-sponsored club officer training program; and
- Conducted any two programs from The Successful Club Series and/or The Leadership Excellence Series.
ADVANCED LEADER SILVER (ALS)
ALS Award Requirements:
- Achieved Advanced Leader Bronze award (or “old” Competent Leader award);
- Served a complete term as a district officer (District Governor, Lieutenant Governor (LGET or LGM), Public Relations Officer (PRO), District Secretary or Treasurer, Division or Area governor;
- Completed the High Performance Leadership program; and
- Served successfully as a club sponsor, mentor or coach.
